Have an Interview but No Suit?

If you’re in need of a little professional polishing, go to Charlie’s Career Closet at the Burr House. The clothes won’t cost you a dime.

That’s because all its new or gently used business attire has been donated by USD faculty, staff, alumni and community professionals with the shared goal of helping students project a positive, professional image without the financial burden.

Any student with a current USD student ID will be eligible to get up to 10 free clothing items per semester, which can be worn for job interviews, career fairs, class presentations and more. Plus, you can receive assistance with resume writing, job searching, interviewing, building a professional brand and more.

Open Mondays and Thursdays from 2 to 5 p.m., the trained student staff will be there to help you select a wardrobe that expresses your individuality and give you the confidence to succeed. If you can’t make those times work, you can contact career@usd.edu to arrange an alternative time to shop.

Want to Donate?

Donating your professional and business-casual attire to Charlie’s Career Closet is an excellent opportunity to support the next generation of leaders. Plus, there are three clothing drop options to make donating easy.
